Night and Day Snapshots

These photos were taken on a night when my family + Dave went out to the Wilson Boathouse to eat and listen to some live music. The band was really good and played good dancing music, which is always important!

These photos are from when my friend Maddie and I went on a day trip to Lewiston. We ate at the Silo, which is a restaurant over looking the water that used to be a real Silo but was converted into a cool restaurant. The views were beautiful and even though my food wasn’t too fancy (corn dogs are my guilty pleasure), I absolutely loved it.

A Little Bit Of Rain

This past weekend was the weekend of my high school graduation. It rained all weekend and most people were upset about it. I should have been too since this meant we had to have our ceremony inside, and my grad party was the next day which put a “damper” on those plans but I wasn’t. I know a lot of people find that rain ruins plans, means you can’t do anything, and is depressing, but I’ve always loved rain.

If anything I find rain to be cozier than sunshine. Yes I love sunshine and think it’s beautiful but rain brings people closer together. I know this is cheesy but really nothing beats cuddling up on a rainy day, watching a movie, surrounded by blankets. Rain can be really beautiful too. I also think that rain makes you feel more. It’s proven that rain affects peoples’ emotions. I don’t think it has to have a negative impact, rain can provoke deeper thoughts, and makes you appreciate the warm sunshine more. I don’t know, I’m just saying that I love rain and I think people should learn to thrive in it instead of getting upset about the weather.

Anyways, I made a rainy day playlist for those “staring out the window like I’m in a music video” moods, hope you enjoy!

Allentown Art Festival

Oh how much I wish I was good at art. I’m not though, I am literally terrible. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate and enjoy looking at it! Every year as tradition, my family and I go to the Allentown Art Festival in Buffalo. I love going to this and walking around the city, looking at all the cool art people are showing. Though a lot of artists don’t let you photograph their work, some let me and here are some of the photos I took.

These mini air balloons were one of my favorites! Each one was so unique!

I found this both hilarious and adorable, these dogs are lucky they didn’t have to walk!

This tree was so big they gave it a plaque. No ordinary trees get plaques.

We went to this amazing Thai restaurant called Taste of Siam. I fell in love with the place after having the best iced coffee in the entire planet.

Love, Francesca

Hello! My name is Francesca and I am starting this lifestyle blog, Memoire Capsule. I wanted to create this blog as a way to document the little adventures I go on, things I do, and memories I make. I have the worst memory so that is one of the reasons I love photography, it’s a way to capture a moment so that whenever you look at a photo, you can transfer yourself back to that moment. This is going to be my outlet for any photos I take and little stories I have and I hope that you enjoy this blog and all my weird little tales.

Blogging has always been something I enjoy to do because it combines two things that I love: writing and photography. I first started blogging when I was in fifth grade with a blog about build-a-bears, then grew up a little and started a personal style blog called vintagelillies. Recently I decided to retire that blog and try my hand at something else which brings me to this lifestyle blog. My life isn’t too interesting so don’t expect too much but I’ll try to share the interesting moments with you.

The motto for this blog is “Collect moments not things.” I find this quote really resonates with me because life is not about things, it’s made up of little moments. The good, the bad, and the ugly but all in all still moments. I’m going to use this blog as a capsule for all of my moments, and start collecting moments, not things.
